Hello, Featherstone Families! I am Jessica Guerrero. This year I am teaching 3rd and 4th grade English Language Learners. Our focus will be on building vocabulary and increasing comprehension by working through four areas of language: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

English Language Development groups meets during students' language arts block. Students receives 45 minutes each day of targeted language study. My students develop their English proficiency while also learning content material in Science, Math, Social Studies and Technology.

Currently many educational sites are offering free access.

EPIC Online Library our class code is piz1398 this site has many popular books and book series available. Students can search by their reading (DRA) level.

Time for Kids Time magazine has a kids edition with articles on a variety of topics. Some have quizzes students can try.

Newsela ​also offers news articles and nonfiction stories with quizzes, writing prompts and vocabulary practice. ​4th graders already have usernames and passwords please contact me if they have for gotten :)
