Welcome to Mrs.Brimm's class room page!
Here is what we are doing the week of:
Math: We are continuing our study of Fractions this week! Students will be able to write fractions, including improper and mixed fractions, and represent them in a set model, area model and on a number line. They will also learn to compare fractions with like and unlike denominators, as well as subtract and add fractions!
Language Arts: It is that time of year that we have covered the concepts that our 3rd graders need to know. From now until the end of the year, we will be reviewing all of these wonderful reading skills and strategies so that our students are prepared as possible for the May SOL.
Science- This is our last week studying simple machines! In addition to reviewing the 6 types of simple machines that help make life easier (lever, inclined plane, wheels and axels, pulleys, wedge, and screw), students will become familiar with compound machines as well.
Social Studies- Prince William County History will be the next unit of study coming up!
